Dead Artist Talks: Salvador Dalí

Dead Artist Talks is a (one-episode test) podcast that invites the famous artists you know and love to come back to life and speak on what their role would be in the 21st century and how art students can value an artist’s life and work past only their most famous works. From comedy to education, this podcast has something for everyone. Host, Valerie Seelye, is a graduate student at Texas State University, working on her masters in secondary education with a focus in visual art.

In this pilot episode of Dead Artist Talks, Salvador Dalí comes back to life for 10 minutes to discuss with host and graduate student, Valerie Seelye, how art students in the 21st century can look up to him as an example of critical digital invention. Special thanks to voice artists Tony Plyler (Dalí) and Casey Rodriguez (old timey radio voice).

The following works are discussed in the pilot episode:

Salvador Dalí, The Persistence of Memory, 1931, oil on canvas
