Half Royal
his is a half crown inspired by the Invisible Cities poems by Italo Calvino. Elements taken from the poems include: rails, façades, and inspiration of how a city mirrors in a distorted way onto the water. The poem reminded me of walking through London at night, seeing the beautiful reflection of lights on the water-so there is a personal connection as well.

Everything is cut by hand; the decorative layers are riveted, and the base is soldered; I created the square wire from larger round rods.
